I’m currently re-siding my house and am presently on a wall that continues up onto a roof. I’m wondering if I should nail the bottom edge of the siding that comes down over the step flashing at a 15 degree angle? I’ve left a 3/4″ space between the roof and the siding and nailing into the bottom edge of the siding will help secure it, but I’ll also be putting nails into the step flashing behind the siding. Is that a no-no for some reason?
