I bought a new nail gun and while testing it I noticed the nail heads get damaged after a shot. I thought it was about a bounce back since these were shot with not many PSI, but even the ones that are flat on the wood surface show some chippings. Have you ever seen that before? Any clues why? Thank you for your possible answers.

It looks like the notch from where the nails are collated. Take a close look at the strip of nails.
