Hi
I’m building a shed and installing cedar shingles on the roof. I read that galvanized nails are not recommended for cedar and 304 stainless is recommended instead. It’s not easy to find stainless nails at HD/Lowes – I was able to find “Cedar shake nails” 4d 1-1/2 stainless from grip rite, see link below. Will these be appropriate for roofing ?

Thanks

I find that the roofing nails often end up in splits with cedar. I use the 4D stainless.
Thanks i will give it a go
