Ralph, TmaxYou fellas are a heap a help! 8 > {I never saw another like it...some things just never catch on.
long way from home it is...I'd have to call that a Mediterranean Colonialbut remember I'm the one who invented the term, Faux Mid-Western for boss' BIL garage style

The destination is not the point. The completion is not the point. Enjoy today. If you can't enjoy today, then what is the point ?
The house is brick, but not ordinary brick. The bricks are half as tall as ordinary brick and are longer and the mortar joints are very fine.
A unique house in many regards, even if odd, it seems very well crafted.
dutch neo-colonial
I second that.
Looks like you are correct. Here is a Dutch farmhouse in South Africa of similar style. So Dutch it is.http://www.wynboer.co.za/imagesart/landfig7a.jpg

WOW!!! What a Ride!
Forget the primal scream, just ROAR!!!

That's what designers call "eclectic" (sounds better than "mismatched" or "quirky" or "odd"). Like someone else said, top looks like mission style--needs a bell in the misddle though. With the posts and balls, maybe "headboard style"?
I had my money on Piffin's Mediteranian style, but it looks like it's a unique style called "Cape Dutch."

That house is in Winona, MN.Here is a pic of another similar Dutch facade:http://www.davidsanger.com/images/curacao/3-431-36.architecture.y.jpg
I don't know, but I know one thing is that it looks better than alot of the McMansions I have seen build in Calif.
If the price was right, it was well built, and I like the layout, I'd live in it.
I appreciate unique buildings, even if they differ from my personal taste. That house really caught my attention.
