Hi Andy!
Do you mean the trowel fill on the repairs? That's just trowel fill, water based putty. Fills small gaps and get's sanded off. Dries in about an hour. Comes in all wood-tones. About 20 bucks a gallon. Comes in gallon tubs or 5 gallon tubs for full trowel fill.
That's just the seal coat on the floors. Final finish included 3 coats of water-borne.Ditch
ditch, have you been able to come up with a fair price for patch work. Every time I see a patch to do I feel like if I price this patch for its real cost the customers will not want to do the job and i lose out on a job to do because of the cost of wood. So I always end up trying for a fair price to add and not the real cost to me. So I guess I was just trying to get a feel for that.
Rusty,
Patch work like that doesn't come cheap. I charge $12.00 a linear ft. including material. Those 2 patches consisted of 30 linear ft. $360.00. They took me about 5 hours.Ditch
Ditch is that ln. ft. or sq. ft.
Linear ft.Ditch
rusty? You...me..?? what the he11????
I saw that your screen name was the same about a week ago but I didnt say anything because I noticed that I had used my name first, and I rarely go on line cause Im so busy. I guess what Ill do is change to Rusty Syrell so there wont be any confusion .
Well, since you had it first, perhaps I should change? I'll leave it up to you.
I think one of you should change it to "rustyNcorroded"

Lud,
Quite a transformation, I hope they are going to do the rest of the house nice enough to do justice to the floors.
Mark
I figure on doing my floors last. If you make nice floors as the first thing you do, then you have to protect them for the rest of the job. Working from the top down, whatever you drop or spill lands on what you haven't made nice yet. Gravity again.... ;-)

Prof,
Actually the place is done save for some trim...it's a rental...can't wait to re-do the floors in a couple years.Ditch
When did you start doing work in my brother's house?
Jon
Jon,
