I want to install a wall receptacle next to my fireplace. I’ve checked the NEC and can’t find if there is a minimum distance for installing a receptacle next to a fireplace. I’m aware of the minimum distance for combustible material, but not a wall receptacle. Any suggestions/guidance is appreciated. Thanks.

There is nothing in the NEC.
How close do you want it?

From the left side fireplace opening about 18" or so. The plan is to use the receptacle for the wood stove fan.
That should be plenty of distance. You can get into derating and some other things if you are in a "hot" area. But that is far enough away..
