Need a big Shaper cutter.
Need a 1-3/4″ Shaper cutter. (1-3/4″x1-3/4″) Any body know a source that makes them as a stock size? I checked out CMT, Amanda and a few others on line but they were too small. My guess is a custom cutter would run $400–. Thanks.
Best to you and yours, Chris.

Charles C G Schmidt in NYC has a good selection od stock cutters in various bores.
LRH also has a bunch.
Freud has - or used to - a wide selection, but all metric sizing other than the bores.
They are all online in one form or another. Some of the stock cutters will cost $400, though.

Thanks Dave,
I tried Freud. Turned out that their site was easy to navigate but no luck. Charles C G Schmidt wasn't in Googles purview.
Anyone else?Best to you and yours, Chris.

I've found Freeborn cutters to be excellent. Any question, call, they'll have an answer.PAHS Designer/Builder- Bury it!
Are you in southwest MO? How is their catalog operation? Always knew they had it but never bothered to use it, I just walk in and grab a seat at the counter. These guys have come through for me with custom moulder knives more than a few times and their sharpening service is second to none. This place is a top notch family operation.
Most large sharpening services have an in house cutter department. Try going local first.
As previosly posted, ballew carries quite a bit of Freeborn and King Cutter. Freeborn is a better choice than King cutter in price, king cutter has a better 'stock" selection. If you are going to use these cutters on in sloid wood, no mdf/particle board/plywood, then spend the little extra and go with the Tangtung(yellow) cutter from Freeborn. There regular carbide(orange) cutters are great too.
Maybe show a profile that you need in the quantilty and material required and you may get some better info.
