Help! I put a small addition on a home that had white double 5″ aluminum siding and I need 500 square feet to finish the addition, but it seems that no one makes a double 5″ aluminum in smooth finish any longer. My customer rejected the double 5″ smooth vinyl sample that I presented and is insisiting on aluminum. The new area has corner boards adjacent to all existing aluminum so I thought the break between the old and new siding would allow me to substitute the vinyl, but the customer says, “no way”- I would appreciate any leads on white double 5″ aluminum siding or any other suggestions anyone may have. Thank You.

I know of no source for Al siding (thank God. I hate the stuff.) But maybe you can ask around and find out if anyone is remodeling a house that has the siding you need; offer to help remove and off-load the stuff.
Hope someone comes along with more positive info. I'm turning down a slider/window job for several reasons, one being the place is sided with aluminum.
Good luck.
Ken Shadle Aluminum Products in Chambersburg PA used to have it. Haven't been in there for a year so I don't know if they still have it or not. Sorry I couldn't be more helpfull. Somebody here will have the right answer.

I always address alum. siding matches before I sell the job. Did'nt this come up in the planning stage?
Spruce,
Like stated, didn’t you discuss this BEFORE you put on the addition? Well tell her that she can always paint the plywood.
