Where have all of the smart, talented lead carpenters gone? We are a smallish, 5-year old remodeler located in Takoma Park, Maryland (a certified “nuclear free zone,” known locally as the granola suburb of Washington, D.C.) We concentrate on larger, higher end projects and have established a great relationship with a local contemporary architect who is on his way to becoming the “architect of the moment.” We have work lined up for more than a year.
We are looking for a lead carpenter who cares about his (or her?) work and has the ability to handle detail-oriented finish and framing work. The company is owned by a recovering lawyer and an engineer. We are doing this work by choice and are looking for employees who are intellectually interested in and challenged by construction work.
