Hi all
Posted this around with no luck, so trying here.
In a nutshell:
I live and work in Southern Vermont.
Due to a stroke, I’m now trying to only work in my woodshop.
I’ve been woodworking for alot of years, so don’t get me wrong.
I need a hand.
While my cabinet work is ok, I’m now trying to do fine work (small stuff like jewelry boxes and such) as I can’t handle large jobs anymore.
I’m having trouble with accuracy with my tools.
I’m looking for someone to come here to my shop and help me get all the power tools aligned and set properly (like my cabinet saw) and dialed in for accurate work.
I’m also not sure if it’s the tools or me, so I’d like someone else to help.
Probably take the better part of a day.
I’ll pay for the help and gas. (and put you up and feed you if you stay over).
Can be weekday or weekend, I’m flexible.
Not rocket science, just a helping hand from someone who know tools and woodworking.
Jeff

The destination is not the point. The completion is not the point. Enjoy today. If you can't enjoy today, then what is the point ?

Its a little far from NW Arkansas for me .

I sent Jeff an e-mail, anywhere in Southern VT is less than an hour from me, if I can't help I probably can find someone who can.

I replied, did you get the message?
Sometimes I never know what I've done (I must be getting old).
Jeff
I did. You have mail....
I'm in North Bennington if you need an extra pair of hands.

Arkansas?
That's right next door, right?
Actually, I hope this is enjoyable for who-ever helps.
I'd hate to think I was a pain in the .....

I hope someone was able to help. Unfortunately, I live in MN and wouldn't be able to make the trip. I would love to help though, and I would do it for free! I must say, I think it's refreshing to hear someone ask for help; I know people who would be to prideful to ask for help and just never use the tools again.
Good luck and God bless!
Hope someone here can help. I live in Montpelier but unfortunatley do not have the tools (or the knowledge) to dial in wood working machines. I hope to someday be building Rolexes but currently I am just building Timexes! Have you put a post on oldwoodworkingmachines.com? There are lots of machinests there who have huge amounts of knowlede in this field. I bet you would get a bite over there. Good luck.
Thank you
I've had a few replies, but no firm date as of yet.
