We’re expanding our building business and need to hire a lead carpenter and frame and finish carpenters to build 4-5 homes per year. Our homes average 2000 square feet, and are energy efficient and allergen free, and we use recycled and green building materials wherever possible. We want to expand further into passive solar and zero-energy homes. We are currently buying house packages from a local truss company (see www.timbertruss.com).
Our lead carpenter will earn between $45,000 and $55,000 per year in salary and bonuses. Our carpenters will earn $$30,000 to $40,000 per year in salary and bonuses. We’re in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and our subdivision looks out on the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east, and the Allegheny Mountains to the west. We’re surrounded by National Forests on both sides, with limitless recreational opportunities, and some of the best smallmouth bass fishing to be found anywhere in the world. We have excellent school system, and reasonable costs of living.
