My wife and I are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and we are at the point where we need to locate a blower motor for our Dacor raised vent (pop up style behind the cooktop).
The blower motor will be remote (REMP16) style located under the house directly below the cabinet in a 5 foot tall crawl space and vented out the adjacent exterior wall.
We have the ventilation unit but need to purchase the blower motor seperately and have been unable to find a supplier. We live in the Seattle area.
Any ideas of where to purchase the blower locally or online?
Thank you for help on this…oh, we are having our cabinets custom built, just saw them today (we pick up this week) and are very pleased with the workmanship and price compared with the national brands. If anyone is interested then let us know and we will provide further details.
Casey and bride.

I don't get it. You have the Dacor part number. You know that part number interfaces to the controls on the raised vent. You bought the raised vent from a Dacor dealer. Why not just go back to that dealer and order the blower? Or if you can't stand that dealer, go to the Dacor web site to find another one; they list a half dozen in Seattle.
Jamie...wished it was that simple. Do not have a part number for the blower, only a type referencing REMP16. We had bought the raised vent from an appliance dealer that was having there yearly clearance sale. Thought I would search on our own before going to the dealer and ask them...that would be too easy and take away the thrill of the hunt. Am learning alot more this way.

The Dacor site sure makes it look like REMP16 is the Dacor part number.
If Dacor works the same way as other remote blowers I've installed, house power goes to the remote blower, and a control cable goes from there to the hood, where it plugs into whatever controls are there -- switches, or potentiometers, or microprocessor, or whatever. The blower and the controls are an integrated system. I'm sure you could cobble together something that would use only half the system plus something else, but why would you do that? Check out the Installation Instructions pdf on that site.
Yeah, I agree. I have the installation instructions and have no issues with that aspect. Just wanted to use a blower/motor this is commonly used for Dacor's remote type setup. I am beginning to realize that the blower/motor part of this setup is generic as long as it has the green, white/blue, blue wiring compatible with 120v 60hz 15a circuit. The power will enter at the raised vent then lead out to the blower. This is illustrated clearly in the installations instructions.
Thanks
