Were about to install carpeting in our new house and are trying to decide between nylon and polyester. Is there any reason to definitely pick one over the other? The poly is a little cheaper at $1/yd less than nylon. Otherwise, they seems pretty equal. What say you???

Go for the nylon. Anso IV fibers are top of the line, I think.

My wife is a designer. She says Nylon only and also select a continues filliment.
Polyester and Stapled carpets leave fuzz all over. There is a good reason for the price difference but well worth it.
Only bad thing I've heard about Nylon is it produces lots of static. maybe modern carpets have anti-static stuff in them.
