I am looking to buy a rol-air 1.5 hp compressor for big framing jobs and
have only ever owned emglo’s. The local tool store is selling them for
599.00 which is better deal then the emglo and it looks pretty buff. Just
curious if anyone else has had good luck with rol-air.
thanks, jeremiah

*I've never owned one, but fellas I know that do, love them. Don't know about the wheelbarrow models, but the hand carry models use the same pump as Emglow.
*When I was framing, I owned two of them. Mine were 5 HP gas wheelbarrow models and were great. They lasted longer than the emglos we also had, but the emglos had briggs and stratton engines, which at the time were inferior to the japanese engines on the rol-air. I assume you are talking about an electric model. I currently use smaller emglo electric, oil bath compressors and like them, they last a long time. I use synthetic oil in mine, and change it rarely.I certainly wouldn't hesitate to buy another rol-air. If deciding between the two, (electric) the top three factors in order of importance for me would be:1) noise 2)cfm output3)weightthese are both good companies, and I don't think you can go wrong with either.steve
