Hi,
I tore out some old carpet and baseboards in a small 7×15 room on the second floor of our house. This part of the house is a twenty year old addition. I was hoping to put in laminate floors, but I’m concerned about how unlevel the floor is. Over the 14 foot length, there’s a 3/8 in sag toward the middle.
I understand laminate needs a very level surface, so I suspect this doesn’t cut it. I know there are leveling substances I can put down, but with that size gap, I’m afraid it would add too much weight to that joist. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks!
Rich

SLC doesn't weigh that much! Remember the layer is 3/8" deep TOPS!
