Prescriptive codes don't address the connection at less common angles, so base the connection off more typical ones using bolts, structural screws, blocking, and steel tension ties.

Jeff- ya gonna have it finished by next Christmas? ( that's probably what my timetable would be, I get distracted way to easily)

almost grouted xmas day as the wife and kid were off visiting and I stayed home ...

I'm alwaysssss floored by yer work...sorry, couldn't resist.
When the time comes I'll have to shoot you some pic of my additions and get some thoughts from you as to what and where to buy wide old plank flooring.
I'm doing a wood floor job for my excavator friend on Monday in an octagon addition he did....they bought 5" pine flooring. No T&G on the butt ends.....He wants to bisquit them. I told him I didnt think it was necessary. Any thoughts on that?
Be floored

Great looking floor. Just curious what did the materials cost you per s.f.? Was this a pre-finished floor?
- Rob
Rob,
The customer pays $3.99 for 1/4 sawn w.o. select in a 3" width. The borders were $300.00.
I don't sell or use prefinished flooring..... don't like it..... All of my floors are site finished.
