I’ve been lurking here for a little while & enjoying all your fine work. Thought I’ld show off a little of my own.
This was a kitchen remodel I did last fall for some friends.
New floor was a pre-finished red oak. Cabinets are D grade YP, distressed with a colonial blue stain with a off white pickle. Counters are blue flake granite.
First post here so bear with me on any mistakes I may make.

*Nice Job! DanPat- I like that fluted glass in the uppers and the use of the table. The fridge magnets and pictures need a new place though.(distracts from all your hard work)

*Thanks for the kind words Terry & Bob. Amazing what a chunk of concrete, a lil paint & a lot of sanding will do to common YP & luan plywood. As to the kitchen magnets, what can I say. They were still living in the house & using the kitchen as I did the remodel. Appliances were only a year old so no need to replace them.Did all the work in their basement & back yard. Had to build the bases first so they could still have storage. Then the bottom demo, floor & installation of them. No room to store the whole set. Then the uppers & finally the pantry. Fluted glass in the pantry also.Again thanksDan
*Great design in the cabinet work--all your own design?Love the kitchen.
*Thank you Roger. Yes, it's my design...with a lil input from the homeowners, as always.
*Nice job! I especially like the fluted glass and the flooring choice. It looks like the front door has the same glass, or similar. Does it? Is the house old, or just an unusual front door? Working on a working kitchen must require patience and a sense of humor....
*Thanks Lisa. Yes, the house is an old one. Actually we think it was built over a period of years. The kitchen & dining area are barge board construction, so that would put them somewhere around 1870 or earlier while the front of the house was built around 1900. The back of the house we figure from somewhere in the 1930's with a camelback addition from the 1950's. Quite a collection there. The door you see actually leads to what we here in New Orleans call the "basement". Which is really just the ground level floor as nothing gets buried here. Even the dead are "buried" above ground.
