I need to buy a new laminate router liek yesterday. Any quick opinions on what’s available. I’m somewhat brand loyal to bosch and porter cable, but am always looking for the best deal for my buck. any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I have two different PC laminate trimmers, a 3102 set up with a Betterly underscribe unit (got it 10 years ago, maybe more) and the relatively new one (7301, 7501???) with all the bells and whistles that I use primarily as a small router. Saves the muscles for more important things.
Nick, is that 3102 the same as the 310? The Betterly stuff is still available, what do you think of it? Thanks.
Yeah, I think the 310 and the 3102 are one and the same. Same RPM, same amps, or close, anyway, 3.8 vs. 4. The Betterly unit is great for seaming laminate, that's the only thing I have the 3102 set up for. Once tweaked in, it gives a tight seam. I like the new PC, but more as a mini-router. Even then, there's some slop in the depth adjust screw that can make dialing in the right depth more hit or miss.
I never met a tool I didn't like!
i use a couple of the makita trimmers, had them 3 or 4 years, get regular use
no problems yet, and they are powerful enough for some smaller router bits as well
caulking is not a piece of trim
