new makita saw wont fit on dewalt miter saw stand

Hi folks , wondering if anyone out there has solved this problem ? Just bought the makita LS1016L and the Dewalt 723 miter saw stand and they dont work together , Holes line up but the bottom of the saw does not allow the support bars that clip saw to stand to sit flat and square and if you mount saw to 3/4 plywood in between then the outrigger supports arent high enough
Anyone solve this problem ? I dont want the makita stand , i like the saw to separate from the stand for more portability for a one man operation any help would be appreciated ? Maguire

So .... do you think it's pure coincidence that the DeWalt's stand fits only their saws?

Serves you right for trying to put a quality tool on an inferior stand...just sayin (-:

Perhaps your Lesdyxia is showing?
I think that you got it backwards. He is trying to mount some inferior junk on a quality stand. :-) (-: :-) (-:
The problem is Makita's for not making their junk so as to be a little more universal.
Why doesn't he use a mounting board (3/4 ply) for the saw and add 3/4" material on the material supports as well? A small block of hard maple would wear well there.
