I was wondering if anyone has used, or seen in person, this new saw. If so, how did it look/perform? I really like porter-cable and am in need of a new portable table saw. Too bad Makita had to mess with a good design and make their new table saws such crap. But that seems to be the path they are following. Any feedback would be appreciated.
P.S I asked the PC rep at a tool show a few months ago when they were going to make a table saw to match the miter saws, and he told me they weren’t going to. I should call up and see if I can get a deal for false info.

The Makita is great with a tablesaw stand. The combination makes the lightest quietest, strongest portable set up going.

And if ya have ear plugs...the DeWalt has the most incredible built in fence that will ever be made.
*aj, the old makita's were great. But the new ones, like most makita tool's as of late, have gone downhill. If I could find the old style my problem would be solved.
*Jason, I was at the San Diego woodworking show this weekend and had the chance to set my eyes on the new saw myself. Honestly, being somewhat of a P-C fan myself, I was a bit dissapointed. The saw looks to be a bit slicker copy of the Delta model, just going after a higher paying market. the fence in particular looked pretty lame, but ultimately I would wait until there is a good review of the tool out there. That is my take on it anyway. Good luck.Rick S.
*Jason....I have run a bazillion feet through the new ten inch...I love it. And I still have my fifteen year old one and it still runs, though ripping fibercement has it on it's last legs due to dust effect on bearings.near the makita blue stream,aj
*Wasn't it the Makita 2073 that everyone ravs about? I have been on Amazon.com / Toolcrib and they still have them for sale. Free shipping too, I think.
*cant see paying all that money for a P-C made in taiwan
