can you set to a higher resolution?
Unfortunately, no....680 x 800 is the highest setting. There are digital enhancement options on the device that I can play around with a bit....and getting to know it better may help.
Being as I`m rarely without my Palm Pilot, it`ll come in handy for those times when "I wish I had a camera".
I basically only plan on using it for jobsite photos to replace my Polaroid. Pics of footings, framing members, etc. that I may need to save to satisfy inspectors and to CMA.

I have a Tungsten with the same Veo camera. Fairly horrible, ain't they.
Trus they are handy, but I just got a 4MP Casio which sits in my truck all the time. Better resolution.

Just recieved an email from Palm.....introducing the new Palm Zire 72....boastin higher resolution and video capabilities......what, do they sit there and wait for you to register a recent purchase before releasing the upgraded version?
I`m not too concerned....it`ll serve its purpose...I`ve got my 35MM for the important shots.J. D. Reynolds

Mmmm. Not usually. Higher resolution in what?
What I like to do is take my digital camera, loose some of the resolution in Photoshop and put it on the Palm. Colour pics for the clients to see!Quality repairs for your home.

The 1st photo showed some cabs similar to some I'm considering for a kitchen tear-out on a fixer-upper I just bought. The one's I'm looking at are by Schuler (Medallion Cabinetry) in a 1/4 sawn Mission style. Do you have any more photos of that kitchen? How did you like those cabs?
Thanks! Karl Kaminski, Greenville, NC
Medallion....those are them! So far no complaints. Be sure to specify any and all details you might normally expect from a semi-custom cabinet line. I was a bit taken back by what they consider standard and what they deem custom.
Cabinet shelving, believe it or not, was a gripe of mine. First off, it seems two shelves are standard regardless of cabinet size....I needed to order extra for the eight foot tall pantry cabinet. Also, be sure to specify plywood shelves....didn`t expect press board from this line....had to upgrade.
I`ll shoot a couple pics and upload for you soon. Any questions just gimme a holler.J. D. Reynolds

Jay-
How was the quality of the 1/4 sawn? Was it consistantly vertical grain, or were there areas leaning toward flat-sawn? How about the drawer guides? (Would prefer Blum). I thought the Medallion line a good compromise for the look. Can't afford Crown-Point! Thanks,
Karl, Greenville, NC
No problems with the quality of the craftsmanship...flatsawn is consistent....they actually made very sure of this as I added several side panels after the fact. I was/am, a bit concerned with the drawer slides...I had originally been looking at "Plain & Fancy" whose hardware is top of the line....when we stepped down to Medallion, I neglected to specify...my fault. I would have prefered Blum as well. That said, the slides appear adequate. Had I the chance to go back in time I would definetley insist on the upgrade.....if for peice of mind only.

Precisely how we arrived at our final decision. Wish I had my shop up and running already....coulda had the custom cabinets of my dreams.....course I`d most likely be living with a "work in progress" for the next few years! LOL. Shoemakers children go barefoot. As it is I installed the cabinets in December and still need to do the backsplash and soffets. (I`m looking forward to the soffets...I`m planning on building custom removable panels, for future access, that will match the doors below)
Here`s a couple quick pics.....resolution could be better....still learning this new toy.
The doors in pic three were special ordered....had I realized how much I was going to like them, I mighta had all the doors with glass done this way. Money being no object of course.J. D. Reynolds

J.D. don't worry about the resolution here. all they do is complain that the file is too big and the dial-a-saurs get all bent out of shape
