Man, that was incredible!  Especially the maneuvering to get the Bobcat lined up with the truck bed with the cat balanced.

    I think they practiced!

what am i doing with a bobcat? i use it to shovel out all the #### renters leave me!!! i couldn't get by without something with a bucket just to help out loading stuff. hows the backhoe doing, got any projects going with it? larryif a man speaks in the forest, and there's not a woman to hear him,is he still wrong?

      1. Mooney | Jul 17, 2008 01:51am | #8

Yea , I cant sit on it enough. Ive got a lot of projects but I cant seem to get to it . Ive used it on several rentals for different things . One had a lot of dogs chained in the yard. and I spread some top soil. I roofed a house and loaded and unloaded the roof where I buried it . I cleared a lot I bought that was grown up recently. I buried that driveway the other day after ripping it up and found out I had some really nice top soil so I dug up some more and filled it with broken commodes and such out of the warehouse. Dumped a lot of old paint and cans etc. I used the top soil to fill over exposed roots and fill holes.

I use the front end bucket a lot like you do. Ive been picking up a lot of rocks with it and putting them into holes it digs. I like the fact I dont have to lift them.

ROAR! Not a big Dropkick Murphy's fan eh? So what did you think of the Backhoe operating.

I thought the loading from the ground was what was cool cause the backhoe had attachments to sit up there . But then I saw the backhoe switch cars up there .

I thought it was way cool. It was interresting the train helped him move to the next car.

Doent make me want to try somthing at home like that . <G>

Back when I did railroad work I'd run into them a lot out West. They always impressed me an I could watch them for hours. All their operators were always middle age guys with calm demenors. I guess that's essential in that line of work. LOL

Whodda thunk watching skidsteers could be so fun!? Nosed around while there. YouTube....whatta thing.

Couldn't help but think this would be something I'd do. Never was good at patting my head and rubbing my stomach at the same time.

That right there is American ingenuity at it's best.

    Or is it laziness?

    1. davidmeiland | Jul 17, 2008 05:41pm | #14

You sure that was America and not somewhere else? The cars going by didn't look quite like the ones that go by here.

      1. Henley | Jul 17, 2008 11:54pm | #17

You're totally right. Their not speaking "American" either. That first move where he pops the rear end up is impressive. You
know he's overshot and landed on the bucket before.

Here's a pretty good pic set.

If you start looking around youtube for excavator videos there is some very funny stuff, and some not-so-funny. Last time I was wasting time looking I came across a couple of mean crane accidents.

whoa there! I was talking about the bobcat. There are impressionable homeowners listening here.

  8. Mooney | Jul 19, 2008 12:21am | #29

    BTW, I rented a bobcat a couple of times . I thought it was a blast .
