I am currently renovating a colonial built in 1660. I am looking for new windows that are period, yet energy efficient. If it one thing that I can not stand are those cheesy snap-in grilles. Any recommendations?

This information database will keep you happy.
I have a local shop build them for restoration unless it's just one or two, then we do our own.
Thank you for the tip. Are the windows that you have made double-paned? If not, do you use a jamb liner to prevent drafts? So many variables, but only so much money.
