Semar, resize that picture to about 640x480 / 75-150 kb's so those of us with a regular monitor and dial up might enjoy.
Thanks.

Here ya go. Search for the thread on the free program Irfanview. It's da bomb. Easy to use and when you learn how to resize your pictures you'll make more friends. :)

hello dieselpig
Can you teach me how to downsize?
Greetings semar, Welcome to Breaktime.
Below is a link which will take you to a compilation of older BT post dealing with a popular pic sizing free download, Irfanview, that many here find advantageous to use.http://forums.taunton.com/tp-breaktime/messages?msg=24441.75
Access into the archives of old BT messages can be found in different ways. One way is to scroll down in the lower left corner of your screen where there is a search function that will take you to previous threads dealing with whatever you type in the search bar.
There is also a more detailed search function available by clicking on 'Advanced Seach' itab in the upper left of your BT screen. However, there is no guarentee these will always work.
Cheers

Re searching old messages
thanks razzman, I wanted nothing in particular, just reading on previous threads. Of course something specific can be obtained by the search method.
Just found out I do not have MS Paint to downsize pictures. Just about all my pictures were taken 1600 x 1200
Ya, a search word of about anything will get you back in there to roam around.

thanks
I used the suggestion to scroll to the bottom of the specific discussion forum.
Under: Next 50 you can go back as far as you want.
Exactly what I was looking for

Semar,I found this from a previous post, it's the easiest and fastest way I've found to change the file size.
"Actually, I used MS Paint. When you open the file, if it's too big, it will overfill the page. That's how you'll know if you need to make it smaller.
Go to Image in the top menu bar, then click on Stretch/Skew. The new pop-up window will show Horizontal and Vertical Stretch. Just keep shrinking the file until it fits on your screen. For example, if you type in 50 and 50, your picture will half the original size on the screen (but the file size will be way more than half as small). Make sure you change both numbers the same or it will make your picture either short and fat or tall and thin.
When you like the size of the picture, just go to File on the top menu bar and click Save As. You will need to make sure you save the file as a JPEG - in the Save As screen, click on Save as type: and then select JPEG. This is the best selection for file size and quality.
There are many other programs out there and they all work fine, but this is the fastest one that I've found if you're just changing the file size. It's also on most computers nowadays. "
thanks to all of you
will try to follow instructions
Off to work
Let's see how this will turn out
I think I got it now; the left picture is much smaller. Could go even smaller if you like
thanks
Yeah, that looks good. Keep it under 100k and most of the dial-up folks are happy. Although as an odd side note, if you happen to wander over to KNOTS, they don't seem to mind large file size over there.
Do you happen to remember what the spacing was between block wall to toilet and from toilet to wall on this pic? I've got a BA that might end up with a toilet between tub plumbing wall and room wall, and didn't want the user to feel like a sardine.

I am trying another picture from the same bathroom.
This is the moodlight setting with covelighting and the LED lights in the showerceiling
Neat effect. What kind of lights are in the cove?

Too grainy.
How about this one. Fairly clear. And then the alternative "through the glass block" view (probably what the neighbors see). :)

The lighting is simple ropelighting but it is continious and effective. Lamplife is about 10 000 hrs.Probably enough for the next 50 years.
