“Looking for Work/ Contracts/ Sub-lists…………………. I have recently started up a small handyman business, specializing in carpentry work. I do a little bit of everything and do it well. As of now, the business is a sole proprietorship, just myself. So the scope of jobs I take on are of a manageable size. Chipper 11/11/2003

Where in NJ? I'm in central NJ- Woodbridge.
Bob
I currently reside in Oaklyn, NJ which is a rather small town right across from Philadelphia. Previously I lived in Freehold- central Jersey and attended St. John Vianney H.S. in Holmdel. An old schoolmate Rich Barrett lives by you- he owns and operates U.S. Mahogany Corp. in Matawan/Aberdeen. Have you ever done business with them? I'm thinking of ordering some yellow maple hardwood through them, for some cabinetry work down at the shore. My fiance Catherine and I are going to design and fabricate replacement cabinetry out of the yellow maple-any tips? Just wondering if you are aware of US Mahogany Corp. reputation, quality, pricing...? Not to far from Woodbridge. I have been doing some work recently up in Sayerville- off of Washington Ave- in the Presidents Park section.. The roads are a "Mess" up by Perth Amboy, Woodbridge area. What, do the road crews use coffee grains to patch the roads around there? Are you a General Contractor, sub, specific tradesman? Union-non union? My mother and father grew up in The Amboys- right up by you. Ethics, hard work, humbleness, and integrity is practiced by many tradesmen that I have come across from that area, And to that, I must Say I Truly Admire!!!! God Bless! Chipper
Haven't worked with US Mahogany, so I can't comment. I'm actually a consultant, doing estimating mostly, but doing remodel consultations as well.
The roads are definitely a mess, between all the construction on 1 & 9, and the bad patches popping from last year (with all the rain lately).
Hope things work out for you- if I come across any handyman work south of me, I'll keep you posted.
