I found an on-line site that sells solderless NiCad battery rebuild kits. The connections are made by bending and crimping the connector tabs. Step by step instructions are provided. Anybody had any experience with this? The company is Battrx.

You might want to price the rebuild through Batteries Plus or some other such store. They'll use a spot welder for the cell connections, which is much more reliable.
NiCad Battery Rebuild Cost
There is a Batteries Plus not too far from me which would save shipping costs and they quoted me $45 per battery. The solderless kit is $30 per battery. I checked an on-line rebuild site, Voltman, and they were is the $60 range.
Voltman/Primecell
I'll try Battrx. I sent 3 in to Voltman and they lasted less than a year. In my correspondence with them they basically blamed my three chargers! I have 6 good tools that use these old Nicad 18v (Bosch) batteries. Hate to throw 'em all out....
NiCad Rebuild
Please let us know how the Battrx works out. I haven't done anything with my batteries yet....2 are totally dead and 2 are a few years old.
