I have an opportunity to purchase three or four used Northwood pieces of shop equipment from a close friend of mine. Niether of us have a clue as to the value of the equipment.
He purchased the tools new within the last 15 years, and it has been only lightly used durring that time. It has also been very well maintained.
My question is what happened to Northwood? I know they still exist, but no longer manufacture small shop eguipment. Did they sell off that division, change the name, or just cease production of the small stuff?
I have used this equipment several times, and would put it on a par with Jet and Delta. What say you guys?
Where can I find used equipment prices for a 3hp HD shaper, 15 inch surface planer, and 20 inch 3 roll drum sander?
Any advice, hints, links, etc. will be greately appreciated.

The only tools I know from Northwood are big industrial CNC routers; didn't know they made other tools, unless it's a different company. Northfield makes very nice conventional tools, but way better than Delta or Jet.
Anyway, you could try http://www.exfactory.com for used industrial machines, but if these are smaller Asian imports under a name I don't recognise, they won't show up on that site.

Adrian, thanks for the site. It gave me a starting point for used equipment priceing.
I got a chance to go buy the supply house where the Northwood equipment was originally purchased. As far as I can determine it is the same Northwood that makes the big industrial CNC routers. They had purchased a far east company that manufactured the smaller industrial equipment, and sold it under thier name. It was subsequentially repurchased by the original owner and is now called Northtech Industrial Machinery. I did not have time to look over the few pieces of Northtech equipment that they had setting on diplay.
Does anyone have opinions on Northtech?
