Does anyone use the occidental leather 5055 suspenders. The link below shows the ones I’m referring to. I presently use a pair of padded Duluth suspenders on my ocy belt. They are worn out and nasty and are no longer made. These suspenders look good. Just wondering if they interfere with your neck at all after wearing all day? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks and enjoy your turkey day!

ihave the all leather set and hate them i guess i prefer the wieght on my hips my shoulders hurt after wearing those all day the ones you show def have more padding then mine though
I have been wearing them for about 7 years now... great suspenders... no neck interference.
I found that their framer bag system with the built in suspender loops worked better than adapting the suspenders to another belt with the included hardware.
The loops on the belt hardware are steel, and the hooks on the suspenders are die cast zinc. If you replace the zinc hardware with brass, it will last longer... but Occy will send you replacement hardware for free if you ask.
I drilled out the rivets on the back hooks, and replaced them with buckles similar to the adjustment points on the front- you can't change the back hooks unless you do this.
You can get new hardware at a horse tack supply store.
I am due for a new set of suspenders soon.
Thanks for the feedback. That's what I was looking for. Looks like I'll be buying a pair. Thanks again.

Yes, for years. Love them. They cost a bunch and work very well. All my bags have the leather loops for the suspenders. You can buy these as kits. The suspenders move from bag to bag, depending on the job.
Used to have the $15 common suspenders. Always twitching them as they would wander. Left strap loose, now the right and so it went. Put the Oxys on and nothing moved. Problem solved.
I have a pair of pot magnets bolted to the left strap for nails and small parts. Wonderful thing. When you're up the 32' ladder with a hand full of little fasteners, clap them on the magnet.
On the right, hooked to the buckle, is a pencil yo-yo from Homer D.

Thanks for the advice. I just got a pair in the mail I bought from someone who emailed me through this post. He bought them and they didn't work for him. Can't wait to try them out.

FWIW File-Wear them for a while before you pin the shoulder yoke to the straps. You will be adjusting the length of the straps and moving the yoke. Make sure it is in the right location. Wife can help on this. There should be two brass binder posts for this. Failing that, HD carries them in the hardware section in alum.I use the alum. version for pinning the belt loops to the belt. Basically, once I am sure where I want the ends of the suspenders to land, I bolt the loops to the belt. The ToolBear

i have the lighter weight set of suspenders, and they work great. I have significantly modified my Occy set over the last 6 years as I did not buy the ones ready for clip on suspenders.
I did notice that toward the end of the summer the shoulder yoke area began to smell like the neck roll I kept on my football gear back in high school/college.
I'm on my second set and highly recommend them for everything from trim to framing. In a trim rig they are perfect to hold the weight of a cordless drill.
There's a little pocket in the cussion part that I put a flat magnet in to hold screws, driver bits or anything you need to have good access to.
