I need to replace a leaking faucet in my kitchen. I’ve tried to put in new washers but I think the 40+ yr old thing has given all it can. The problem that I have is that the supply lines underneath the sink look to be a flexible/bendable copper that are not 1/2″ in diameter, they look to be smaller. The shutoffs are sweated to this line and the lines to the faucet are sweated to the other side of the shut off. Are my eyes deceiving me or does anyone have any ideas what this could be?

I believe that 3/8" is the next smaller common size. Some fittings for this size are still available.
