I have started to tear the siding off an old home , (about 120 yrs old). I came across the framing and it appears to be Horizontal 2×4’s 3′ on center with 3 ” boards nailed vertical to them. No insulation, lath nailed to interior and plastered. The siding, ( clap) was nailed to the 3″ boards which seam to be nailed every now and then. My question is, if I remove the siding will it go boom?
