We are installing a ceramic tile floor using durock backer board. The old floor is vinyl with some kind of rubber coating over it[the old flooring was covered over with another floor]. Do we have to remove all of this rubber? Or can we put the thinset right over it. We already purchased 345 TEC Sturdiflex thinset. Will this work?
