I am looking for an old magazine of FH (month?, year?) where on the front cover a man is sitting in a plywood chair.
I want to make the chair but I don’t know if the magazine explain how to do it?

Yeah, you're thinking of the original edition with Piffin on the cover and the tool shootout about which brand of cordless rocks made the best hammers, right? <G>
I liked the "Pointy Stick" review and comparison...Osage Orange voted best value.Spheramid Enterprises Architectural Woodworks

naw--- it was the issue where piffen reviewed that new invention"fire"---------
stephen
You know, I read that issue.I couldn't believe that no one made a peep about Junkhound's new invention, the wheel. Not even when he rolled one right through the middle of Piffin's newest fire.
Yeh... That'll work.
Piffins son Gutenburg published the very first Fine Homebuilding! Printed on goat skin.
ohhhhhh ,very well done Mark!!!
subtle, nuanced---- I LIKE that!
Damn--whish i had thought of that.

Sorry folks, nothing to say.
Just had to see if Piffin was reading these things is all.

I'd heard you had a hand in the formulation of the Golden Means Rectangle but didn't want to boast about it.

Modest forbids me...but this afternoon, I was meeting with a client and explaining why we do some of what we do and how I figure it out and how there is a mathematical precision to beauty. He left saying, "Wow, I sure learned a lot today. I had no idea!..."

I like the health issue that had Piffen out jogging with his dinosaurs.Haga su trabajo de fricken
my favorite was the 3-parter where Piffin and Noah built the ark...
And thus the 'Great Moments in Building History' page was born!
Ya, I've got all the issues and don't recall ever seeing a man sitting in a plywood chair on the cover. Does sound like FineWoodworking tho. Try posting that question over at the Knots forum and see if someone might remember it there. Best to ya.

I am sure it's Fine Homebuilding and I think the article was about the use of plywood for finishing the inside of the house....?
Maybe the year was between 1970....1982
FineHomebuilding's first issue came out in February/March of 1981. I just looked at the front and back covers of the issues up to 1987 and nothing is seen of someone sitting in a chair.
I'd been wanting to go thru some of those early issues for a while now but lacked the time. Seeing winter has arrived I'll keep an eye open for the plywood for finishing the inside article you mentioned. Half of good livin' is staying out of bad situations,
no matter how loud you roar with a primal scream.
???? I don't understand you can't find it.....at what year are you now?

I remember a FWW cover with a plywood chair on the front.
There ya go, time to chance an email to the ol' boy.
The dancing man was unfortunately never saved as an attachment so when the smiley site went kerplunk somehow he did too.
Oh well, maybe it's just a yahoo burp and he'll return, I dunno.
In the meantime you think this one will work with the blueribbon?View Image
