I know this has been talked about here before, but I have had my search button removed in the last month so…. most of the older roofs in town are, I’m told, this asbestos diamond pattern material. Can this look be reproduced? I can do without the asbestos, but is there an asphalt look alike? Thanks for any input.

*Thanks for the direction, Mike. I went to their web site and didn't see it, but I'll call their sales office Monday. I'm no roofer just trying to point my roofing contractor in the right direction for the look I'm after. Thanks
*sam.....my mistake.. i was thinking of the sur-lok..but i have seen the diamond pattern on asphalt roofs.. just can't remember who the mfr. was..
*Owens Corning used to make a diamond-lock pattern. Don't know if they still do, or what the availability is. You may have to prod your salesman to make the extra effort to find out if they still do. He may say no in an offhand manner-make sure he actually checks with OC.John
