i am looking for some old slate, I want to start making water structures in my fish tanks with them, if any of you guys have slate that is headed to a landfill let me know.
They want $15 at the pet store per piece so maybe you roofers can help this hombre out.

Matt,
I have plenty of smaller pieces that aren't suitable for roofing , but might be perfect for you.
Roofing slate is only 1/4" to 3/8" thick though, but thats most likely enough.
I'll get some together and you just pay the USPS fees if you don't get offered some closer to you.

I'd be happy to pay for the shipping and your troubles to get them here, I just have a hard time spending what they are asking at the pet store.
I need quite a few, so what ever you can gather up would be great. Woods favorite carpenter
I'll take some pictures of some pieces to make sure it's suitable for your needs.
THank you kind sir, I would take as many off your hands as you will let go.

Matt,
Whats your zip code and I'll look up how much a 40 lb. carton will cost to ship from here by UPS?
I'll be getting a rugged box with Sieger snow guards on Monday or Tues. that would be perfect to put some slate into to ship your way.
Walter
My zip code is 49017, let me know a shipping cost and I can get some money headed your way. Woods favorite carpenter
You're assuming the shipping won't cost $100. Basically mailing rocks.

Do you have slate roofed houses in your neighborhood, or one close by? If so, as you drive through them, look for someone having roofing done.
