This was my grandfathers, and says C.W.S. Co. Chicago, A Dozen Tools in 1, on it. Many of the functions are obvious but I’m a few short of a dozen. <g> Anyone know any more about it?
Thanks.

Upgrading the footings and columns that support a girder beam is an opportunity to level out the floor above.

bevel square, angle repeater
Angle marker like a speed square ( maybe if you count each premarked angle you have four tools in that one)
slide gauge for ripping
radius marker ( nail through small hole and race the panccil around at a setting)
Possibly a way to use it as an elipse trammel
Angle finding gauge
Inside measure finder
Most of what I come up with is 3-4 versions of the same thing to count close to 12 total
Like with kitchen implements - I could take a sharp knife and market it as a multi-tool: cutter, spreader, cheese slicer, package openner, debonning tool etc, instead of just calling it a knife.

Ha ! Like the ultra-sonic mosquito repellant keychain gadget that my brother gave me one time. Few days later, he says, "How's it work ?"
I told him it repelled mosquitos all right, AND honeybees, locusts, giraffes, elephants, rhinos, collie dogs, all those things. Yep, they all stayed away from me !

To Piffin's list add:
Depth gauge - square end with hole, slide and lock crossbar to hold reading.
I can't get a dozen either - methinks you would have to find the original package to find out!

To state the obvious I would add....
ruler.
Scott.
Bootscraper for mud season.

Glad you guys enjoyed the question. <g>Piffin mentioned radius marker, using the small hole in the end. Which makes me wonder about the small hole in the end of the other crosspiece--which you can't see in the picture. THAT hole is oval, about 3/16 x 3/32. Any ideas for it?Thanks.
Bottle opener
Small hole for small nail, oval hole for pencil?
