I have a small portable hot tub, so need a platform for it to set on. Its 220 gallons, 6 ft dia and is 125 lbs per sq ft. The area where it is going is level with no grass, next to a garage, not adjacent to the dwelling unit or a door.
Am debating between a
1) concrete paver deck 8 ft x 8 ft,
2) or a 8ft x 8 ft platform, using 8 ft 2×6 above ground PT laid on 8 ft 4×4 ground contact PT that on grade, with 6 mil poly underneath
3) an 8 ft x 8ft concrete pad.
Site for hot tub is in an upper yard with 3 steps to lower yard.
Pavers would be OK, but access for digging out is not good, concrete would have to be mixed on site no room for pump truck
It just seems like the PT deck on grade would be simple. A deck on joist and stringers would need steps, etc.

You could use landscape fabric to let it drain, and put some gravel on top.
Hopefully the bare ground slopes just a bit away from the garage. Anything off level will show up when you fill the tub.
No need for 4x4, you can just attach the 2x6s to either more 2x6 laid flat, or even 2x4 that lay flat on the gravel.
Heck, you might be able to stop at the gravel.
Thanks its an odd deck design. Gravel and landscape fabric is right on
