I needed a stainless steel pool trowel to work with an elastomeric stucco that we started using. I called Kraft to see if they had anything longer than what they had listed in their catalog. They said yes and gave me the item number which was not yet out to the dealers (really new item!!!). The dealer called in my order, and I received the trowel in two days. The only problem was that during production someone had fouled (fowled???) up and put the wrong trowel in the right box. I called Kraft about my problem – the job was to start in 2 days and I couldn’t use a my regular blued steel trowels. They said they’d call me back – yeah, sure, I’ve heard that from some other companies, and I’m still waiting years later to hear from one or 2 of them – sued one of the slow pokes and won (Binks – a matter of public record in Brownsville, TX). I figured that I was going to have to make a 3 hour round trip to Fort Worth to buy a SS trowel with the dimensions that I really didn’t want.
Well, about 1 1/2 hours later a “sweet thing” by the name of Rhonda called me back and acknowledged a factory error. She said that they were making a special sized trowel just for me that very moment and that I would have it soon.
Guys, it came shipped overnight and saved my bacon – or at the very least a long ride to Fort Worth and back. Hats off to Kraft for the great service. Thanks, Rhonda!!!
