Went to buy 20 low voltage deck lights at Home depot and their computer says they are out because they are out of season?
I ask you, wouldn’t it make sence to sell more lights because the days are shorter and the nights are longer?
Now I have to wait 10 days for a special order.
Give me a break!

Dunno. Do people sit out on the deck after sundown in the winter? Here it gets too cold to sit outside after the sun goes down.
Our climate is usually very mild this time of year. More rain than sun but mild. The indirect lighting of a deck gives the feeling of warmth even in the winter. Most would like to look out their window at night and see a lit deck than a black abyss or worse yet, their reflection in the window.
Lighting a deck even when there is snow on it looks pretty cool."Rather be a hammer than a nail"

Got a cousin getting married down there. We decided to spend the inheritance & take the family -
Daughter lives in LA; another one in New York; one here; 14 year old son, 8 year old foster son & 5 year old son. What the heck, a bank account can't throw it's arms around you and say "I love you".
Traffic? Bob, we have immigration here. People come to Canada with a G-d given right to drive, whether they can or not. Far East & farther east. I've driven in LA before, both the van and the motorcycles.
My LA daughter is just upset it's too cold for me to ride down.Quality repairs for your home.

I stay away from the big boxes as much as I can Jeff, but for low voltage lights, wire and transformers they are hard to beat.
I use a lot of high end lighting from other lighting sources like TerraDek lighting but right now you can get 600watt transformers for $76.00 and that is hard to beat.
Don't forget a cart, they weigh about 40 lbs each. "Rather be a hammer than a nail"

You actually missed the second end of season sale on the low voltage lighting. The HD here clears the outdoor lv lights for christmass outdoor lv lights. That season ended with an end of season sale just two weeks ago.
You are two seasons behind. Hurry, hurry, hurry, or you will miss the spring and summer seeking up on us!

Every time their computer says they are out I end up finding the stuff on the shelf there. Did you check just in case? I agree about the prices on low end lights.
Rich
I've had just the opposite experience.
Search the shelves. At this point, I usually leave when I can't find what I'm looking for, but if it's a crucial part then I might waste my time by asking someone.
"Well, it says here that we have 12 in stock." I follow the apron-wearer to the aisle and we look for 5-10 minutes... I guess we're all out. I wonder how many times the employee then notifies a manager that the inventory is wrong or do they just forget about it?

ROFLOL......they forget about it! Spent 10 minutes looking for a pendant light the other day.....computer said 4 instock, maening 3 on the shelf and the display model. After 10 minutes the clerks say you want me to call a different store? I said yes call Lowe's!
On the way out of the store to go find my light somewhere else (it had to be a certain size and color), I passed the store manager, who I am on a first name basis with (wonder why?) and told him John in lighting has something to tell you about the inventory being wrong. Yesterday had a call from the manager asking me what was wrong with the inventory.......seems John could not remember!

I've taken to hitting the online look up feature first, then actually looking on the shelf. Then talking to an apron wearer. This way I get to "look" at two different computer inventories.Occupational hazard of my occupation not being around (sorry Bubba)
