We’re building a fireplace into a masonry mudroom addition, one that will face outside and be underneath a pergola-styled car port. I’ve been looking at Superior Clay’s Rumsford kits and was wondering if anyone here has used their products?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

I put a couple together.
Very nice all in all.
The throat tiles that you thread on a piece of angle iron are the
major benefit. Always one of the more challenging corbelling elements
made easy.
The rest of the firebox I prefer to just lay up my self, but that's
only if I'm footing the bill.

I'll be doing the work myself with the guidance of a retired mason living a few houses away, so anything that makes the job easier works for me. Those panelized fire boxes look nice and look like they'll save my rear in reduced work
It helps one to be a bit more confident that it will
draw well too. Have fun!
