I just bought a miter saw, with capable to bevel from 0 to 45 degrees only. I was trying to cut a trim for the corner with two different angles(50, 40). Is there a trick that I can cut a 50 degree angle with my miter saw. Please advice.
The outside corner of the wall is not exactly a 90 degree angle. Otherwise I would have done 45, 45 angles. Instead I have 50, 40 angles reading from my protractor.

Cut a 5 degree wedge of wood and tape it to the fence.

Thx.
40 and 50 are still 90.
You have to bisect that angle with 45 to get a good joint. Cut a 50 and 40 and try to put them together and you will have one long point that will splinter off and ruin the job.
SR corners do often make the cut run over 45 though, so using a shim , wedge, or scrap does the job once you get used to it. Just make sure you cut both over the same amount.

If you cut one piece 50 and one piece 40 you will still have 90
