Do you mean an oval, or an ellipse?
String and Foci Method ... that's the easiest way using only geometry.
Ellipse Calculator ... if the ellipse is too large for the "string/foci" method it can always be plotted.
An oval in general (not an ellipse!) ... there are dozens of different possibilities.
I think i mean an oval. I need to template a tub and would prefer not to trace it. The template is for both creating a curved "skirt" offsite and a corian cap w/ a 1/2" reveal, so theres no good way to trace it. I figure the thing was created mathematically so monday i'll re-create it that way. It looks like the ellipse tracing method will work. THANKS
Just trace an egg. Or use two nails and a string.
