Hi Everyone ! On the job today I was using construction adhesive and I didn’t have any gloves with me… needless to say, my hands are black. Usually it wears off in two or three days. Does anybody out there have any suggestions for speedier removal? Thanks.

"Goof-off".
Goop. (The hand cleaner, not the glue.)
Orange oil if you can't find Goop.
I think wd-40 also does a passable job when followed up by Dawn dishwashing liquid and a very stiff bristled hand/finger cleaning brush, while the wd-40 still has the adhesive softened. Might have to make several passes with any of the above. The goof-off probably being the one with the fewest "passes" needed.
But it's amazing how we've reached the point where we will go to war over anything that bothers us. I think we all have the right to walk away from things that bother us. If it happens in our homes, then we have the right to send the offending person away. Anywhere else, we take a walk. But when did it become okay to think that we have the right to fight with people who annoy us? And when did a little consideration of others become so unfashionable that we can't do it? A little bit of cooperation and consideration would make all of this a whole lot easier. Rules at the job are always appropriate. But we have become so used to imposing rules on how others chose to live their lives that we are ready to beat them for failing to adhere to them. -SHG
Vegetible oils can help sometimes. Wash hands with soap and water. Follow with oil and rub in gently. Sometimes helps to use a stiff, but not sharp, surface. The edge of those fake credit cards works OK. Avoid edges that are too sharp and likely to dig in and cut.
Mix it up. Oil, massage in, scrape, wash, repeat. Mostly these seem to work mostly by softening the skin so the outer layer, and the stuff stuck to it, falls off.
One time I had good results after taking a long hot bath. The bath salts might have helped. Got plenty pruney and most of it rubbed off. A bit of light scraping to finish off the few tough spots. Worse case it was relaxing and the soft skin all over was nice.
Ahhh, and i didn't add that de burring fleece on the hoof causes lanolin to remove it also..LOL
