I have white thermofoil cabinet doors in the kitchen. The white color has yellowed significantly. I desire to paint these doors, but I know that the right primer will be key if I have any chance of getting the paint to stick. Any recommendations on the right primer that I should use?

You might want to try one of the shellac-based primers like Bullseye. They stick really well to shiny surfaces. You might also want to try Smith & Co. Penetrating Epoxy Sealer. It sticks to everything.
