I perform a minimal amount of painting, and it can vary from the fine finishing of furniture to knocking out a bathroom/bedroom now and then. I am attracted to the finish quality of the sprayer approach. And then, the minimal overspray of the HVLP systems is further appealing.
I am unsure if the HVLP systems that I run across are appropriate. All the literature references SUGGEST they can handle “some” latex paints, but the implication seems always to be that such paints are the exception for these systems. Much of my painting will involve household latex paints.
I may just be better off sticking with brushes and rollers. BUT, if I were to purchase a sprayer, are the HVLP systems versatile enough to handle the full spectrum of paints/finishes I might encounter? Or, is a smaller commercial aimless sprayer the route to take? Experience? Opinions?
