Has anyone used one of the motors with the 3M sandblaster pads? The pads mount on a grinder, but I think a couple of companies have brought out vertical tools for use with the pads. Basically like a trim router with a sanding pad attached. I thought DeWalt had one, but I can’t find it now.
Anyway, I’ve used the pads on a grinder, and that works pretty well, but I’m prone to gouging with a grinder. So I was thinking one of these other tools might be better. But I wanted to see what others had experienced.
And I’m not finding anything on-line. Maybe they were discontinued?

For another place, I'm going to use a paint shaver. This is actually for sanding, but we have hard yellow pine. I finally found the thing I was thinking of. It is from Wagnor, the PaintEater. I'm not sure if it works with the regular 3M pads that fit the grinder or if it takes special pads.I'll probably just start with my PC SpeedBloc and see how that goes first.I was just wondering about this other gadget.
