Hey Guys.
I have an Andersen vinyl clad (exterior) window I need to paint from terratone(light brown) to white. Does Andersen make a special paint to accomplish this or is there another paint manufacturer that has a special paint? I would want a spray paint solution. Thanks.

Rick: if you go to http://www.andersonwindows.com you will find they have an email hotline you can use - where they promise a response within 1 business day...
I put white vinyl siding on a house I built a few years ago.
I used Woodframed pella windows and in doing the final coat of latex stain managed to splash a few splatters on the siding below one of second story openings.
The dark grey spots on the vinyl never went away, could not get it off.
It was like it was bonded molecularly.
Good luck,
Alan
Rick,
Sherwin Williams makes a primer that can be used on vinyl. Then pait with anytype of latex. Works good, check with your local dealer.

is it just 1 window?? why spray then even though there are great primers i would ask anderson like someone said also ask them if it should be wiped down with a solvent & what type they would recomend before priming it
Andersen got back to me. They do sell a spray paint for their windows. Have not checked the price; you must call them during business hours to order. The only prep they recommend is using acetone to clean the surface. Also by painting the unit the warranty becomes void on the cladding but not the glass. I'll be painting the unit in a couple weeks when the weather warms up and will let the forum know how it goes. Rick
