I have a small outside balcony 5’x8′, it appears to have a plywood floor over joists. The current floor is covered with natural sand adhered to the plywood with some type of adhesive (epoxy paint or ???). The sand now is wearing thin in a few spots and would like to paint/recoat the floor again with some type of non-skid paint. Does anybody know if I should try to remove all existing sand and recoat or just a good scrubbing to remove any loose sand and then recoat?? Any recommendations of type of paint or long lasting product. (I live in So. Cal. and the balcony is on the east side of the house.) Thanx in advance.
