I just installed some Miratec Trim today. It was my first time using it. Overall I am pretty pleased. I didn’t believe the dust was as bad as everyone says it is. They weren’t lying 🙂
How do you guys fasten this stuff? I used screws because it was a small job that was easier to fasten off a ladder working by myself, and I’m questioning if I would do that again. The Miratec mushrooms up just like the MDF it is. I drilled some very shallow countersinks that helped but added a lot of labor.
Since I countersunk, looks like I will need to patch the screw holes before I put the final coat of paint on. Any product recommendations for patching?
Also, I primed all the cut edges before installing. How do you guys do this efficiently? Just keep a small roller and primer waiting by the saw?

Exterior/Interior Oil Base Zinsser Cover Stain. Always have a can or two handy. Spray and wait 15 minutes. Available at Home Depot (NOT AT LOWES).

A La Carte Government funding... the real democracy.
If you are using screws with Miratec, use the deck screws SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED not to mushroom. They work as advertised.
