Hi, all. Looking to paint our vinyl siding, and am getting a little confused.
Sherwin Williams guy says his exterior latex paint works just fine on vinyl. Can does list vinyl as an acceptable material to paint.
Duron has a special “liquid siding” that they recommend — they say you have to have a special paint or it’ll peel (due to the expansion/contraction, I assume).
Any experience out there painting siding? Any advice? Southern Maryland climate, btw.
I’d like to do this once, I’ve got to move onto other repairs š
Thanks,
Ken

I painted some vinyl siding three years ago (four?) using Ben Moore's latex exterior paint. As of a week ago it remains in perfect condition. If memory serves, I believe it had already been painted once, and that paint was in perfect condition.

Grand. Painted vinyl siding. All joys of cheap siding without missing out on the glee of regular painting. Brilliant. Now to find termites and fungus that will chew on this stuff. That would make the picture complete.
hey dork.....U gonna volunteer to pay for the wood or hardi residing? Jeff Genius has it's limits.....but stupidity knows no bounds
