Would like to know what people think of the Panisonic Preditor 12volt drills and or circular saws. Thinking about buying the combo pack. Was heading for Porter Cable but not after some of the things I’ve read here. So…. tell me ….. What about the Panisonics?

shoeman, I bought the exact kit your looking at after a couple months of searching and I absoutly love it. The drill has plenty of power to drive anything I have tried, also large spade bits are no problem. It is light weight and compact and the batteries charge in 15 min.!!!
The saw is very well balanced, has enough power to cut about 100 2x4's on one charge and gives an outstanding smooth cut. I can recomend it quite highly.
ps im compairing it to my former makita and dewalt 12v drills which i have since sold.
*I'm a big fan of Panasonic 1/2" drill/drivers. I bought a second one so my wife and I could each have one. No saw yet but maybe someday. Joe
*The specs on the RPM show a low of 65 RPM, not 0 RPM (no load). Is this a limitation due to the motor speed control circuitry in the Panasonic? In practice, is not able to go as low as 0 RPM going to limit one's ability to 'gently' drive screws? This is just one concern I have before going for the 15.6V unit. From the specs, it looks very high-tech.Anyone out there used one out in the field?
*I have the 15.6v Nickle metal(the new battery system) drill and I can't say enough great stuff about it. It has plenty of torque and a long run time. It is light feels just feels 'right'.
